One of the benefits of a Brighton Guild membership is the opportunity to participate in the Art in Public Places program. Artists are given the opportunity to exhibit their work either individually or as one of a "themed" exhibition at the Guild's Art in Public Places venues, 2-3 months typical exhibition. Artists can exhibit in more than one venue per year. Artists are encouraged to sign up for two greeter shifts at CoBACH (Saturdays, occasionally Thursday night) when exhibiting at a Public Places venue.
CoBACH (downtown Brighton) - Pamela Day, curator
Advanced Orthopedics - Lorraine Gedeon, curator
Greater Brighton Chamber of Commerce - Cheryl Chidester, curator
Art at the Library (juried) - John Wallbank, curator
To provide the curators with selections of member works, we are asking Guild members who are interested in participating in the Art in Public Places, especially new members, to submit two or three jpegs of their work to add to a Public Places Library. Additional images can be refreshed every six months.
There is no fee for submissions. Work can be for sale or not for sale.
