Exhibit Agreement

Submissions shall constitute an agreement to comply with all the conditions set forth in this entry form. We reserve the right to photograph and reproduce in any form the Small Town - Big Ideas entries for purposes of publicity and/or education.

The Brighton Art Guild, and its agents acting on behalf of the Guild, are not responsible for loss of or damage to any artwork while in the Guild’s possession. Insurance is the responsibility of each artist.
Small Town - Big Ideas Exhibit - September 15th to November 16th
Deadline to enter - September 4th
Intake: September 11th to 14th
Take Down/Pickup: November 17th 5-7pm
Entry Process

Brighton Art Guild members only. Must be a Brighton Art Guild Member prior to the entry deadline of September 4, 2025.

Entry fee $5. All artwork will be submitted in person at CoBACH from September 11th through September 14th. All artists are encouraged to submit two artworks for Small Town - Big Ideas. Artists are only guaranteed one piece in the exhibition. The remaining entry will be included in the exhibit based on space, aesthetics, and at the discretion of the curator.

Art may be for sale or not for sale (NFS). The Brighton Art Guild receives a commission of 20% on all artwork sold at Small Town - Big Ideas Exhibit.

Exhibiting Small Town - Big Ideas participants are required to schedule a gallery sitting time.
Eligibility & Requirements

All work must be original, created solely by the artist, must be dry and wired. If the work is created from photographs the photographs must have been taken by the artist.

Artwork must be in excellent condition, ready for secure installation and properly labeled before delivery. All 2D work must be framed and ready for hanging with hooks and a wire. Sawtooth hangers will be rejected. Canvases may be framed, wrapped, or have painted sides. All 3D work must be free standing, stand on a pedestal, or hang securely with wire or rod. Unsuitably prepared, hazardous, unstable, or extremely fragile work will be declined. Submit alternative installation methods for consideration to brightonartguild@gmail.com prior to September 4, 2025
The CoBACH Center is our display and art space on Main Street in Brighton that the City supports for us. We share the location with the Brighton Area Historical Society and are responsible to the City to keep the building active.
To that end, our part as the Guild is to be responsible to provide CoBACH Greeters for approximately 150 shifts each year. This involves being at CoBACH for a 3 hour shift.
It’s not difficult to do – very easy to learn; and it helps our presence and continued visibility of our Art on Main Street. If each member were to take a shift or two throughout the year that it would easily cover our obligation. CoBACH Greeter Instructions are available on this website
Note that artists exhibiting in Public Places venue are required to sit for one shift for each exhibit entered.
