Inspired Creations at First Presbyterian
The Guild has been invited to install an all-member exhibit Inspired Creations at the First Presbyterian Church in Brighton in September. The Church has a very active arts committee and has sponsored many exhibits over the last few years. Guild members Sandy Hanert and Sally Feil are part of the committee.

For this exhibit we ask our members to submit one carefully chosen and qualitative work that you feel best represents you. There are no size limitations for the artwork as we feel that if each artist is able to enter one artwork, whether it be large, medium, or small, that all work will curate well into the gallery space.

There is very good space for both 2-d and 3-d works.
​
Your work need not be something new, especially created for this exhibition. If you have shown a piece at Kaleidoscope or any of our Guild venues in the past that you feel you would like the opportunity to show here, that artwork may be in this exhibit.
They will have a nice reception for the artists on Sunday noon, September 20.

We know this will sound confusing at this point, but we will be having Kaleidoscope at the Church immediately following Inspired Creations in November. If you have something new that you think you would want to have in Kaleidoscope this year, and is at the ready, you may enter it in Inspired Creations, and it can remain at the Church to be included in Kaleidoscope.

There will be a ‘Call for Art’ for Kaleidoscope this Fall with all the details further explained.
Exhibit Agreement

Submissions shall constitute an agreement to comply with all the conditions set forth in this entry form. We reserve the right to photograph and reproduce in any form entries for purposes of publicity and/or education.

The Brighton Art Guild, and its agents acting on behalf of the Guild, are not responsible for loss of or damage to any artwork while in the Guild’s possession. Insurance is the responsibility of each artist.

Entry Process

2026 Brighton Art Guild members only. Must be a Brighton Art Guild 2026 Member prior to the entry deadline of August 17, 11:59pm.

All artwork to be delivered to First Presbyterian Church, Monday, August 31st, 4-7pm.

Artists can submit only one piece for Inspired Creations Exhibit.

There will be no limit on the size of artwork included in the exhibit.

Artwork may be for sale or not for sale (NFS). The Brighton Art Guild receives a commission of 20% on all artwork sold from the Inspired Creations Exhibit.

Exhibiting participants are required to schedule a gallery sitting time.

Eligibility & Requirements

All work must be original, created solely by the artist, must be dry and wired. If the work is created from photographs the photographs must have been taken by the artist.

Artwork must be in excellent condition, ready for secure installation and properly labeled before delivery. All 2D work must be framed and ready with a hanging wire. Sawtooth hangers are not allowed. Canvases may be framed, wrapped, or have painted sides. All 3D work must be free standing, stand on a pedestal, or hang securely with wire or rod.

Unsuitably prepared, hazardous, unstable, or extremely fragile work will be declined. Submit alternative installation methods for consideration to brightonartguild@gmail.com prior to August 27th.
Artwork Pickup Policy
All artwork must be picked up at the conclusion of the exhibit during the scheduled
pickup time.
Please note that the Brighton Art Guild cannot assume responsibility for any loss or
damage that may occur while artwork is stored at CoBACH or during any relocation
process. Artwork remaining after the scheduled pickup period is stored entirely at the
owner's risk.
If you are unable to pick up your artwork personally, please arrange for someone else to
do so on your behalf. Artwork not picked up by the announced deadline may be
relocated to the CoBACH basement storage at the owner's risk until alternate
arrangements are made.
We understand unforeseen circumstances can occasionally arise. If that results in not
being able to pick up your artwork as scheduled, please notify the curator as soon as
possible to discuss alternative arrangements. This arrangement is intended for
exceptional situations. Repeated or unnecessary use of this exception may not warrant
this accommodation for future exhibitions.

Inspired Creations Registration Form
All fields that have an asterisk following the name of the field must be completed before the form can be submitted.
The CoBACH Center is our display and art space on Main Street in Brighton that the City supports for us. We share the location with the Brighton Area Historical Society and are responsible to the City to keep the building active.​

To that end, our part as the Guild is to be responsible to provide CoBACH Greeters for approximately 150 shifts each year. This involves being at CoBACH for a 3 hour shift.
​
It’s not difficult to do – very easy to learn; and it helps our presence and continued visibility of our Art on Main Street. If each member were to take a shift or two throughout the year that it would easily cover our obligation. CoBACH Greeter Instructions are available on this website

Note that artists exhibiting in Public Places venues are required to sit for one shift for each exhibit entered.
