-
Work must be created within past three years.
-
Artwork must be in excellent condition Canvases may be framed, wrapped, or have painted sides.
Tips for preparing your art work for online entry:
-
Photograph your art work without mat or frame, and crop accordingly. Hint - try laying art on the floor and taking the photo standing over it (crop if necessary so it isn't crooked - it is better to have a sliver of missing image than a crooked entry). Photograph your piece on a cloudy day to minimize glare. Use highest resolution possible.
-
Once an entry has been submitted, no edits, replacements or exchanges will be accepted.
-
Use proper capitalization and spelling when entering your information and double check that your email address is correct. Information will be displayed as entered. That includes artist names, titles and mediums.
-
Files should be .JPEG/.JPG, in RGB color mode (not CMYK)
-
File size maximum is not to exceed 5 MB
-
Zipped files and web based files (like .gdoc) are not accepted
-
Please avoid using punctuation in entry titles (ex:ample: My Entry Title – not “My Entry Title”)
For any artwork sold it will be the responsibility of the artist to coordinate with the purchaser on delivery of the artwork. The Brighton Art Guild will provide the artist with the contact information of the purchaser.

Brighten with Art Juror, Alisa E. Clark

Alisa E. Clark is a mixed media artist, author, teacher, and spiritual seeker whose work lives at the intersection of intuition, healing, and creativity. Rooted in spirituality, her practice includes altars, shrines, sacred objects, and expressive paintings made from reclaimed materials, found imagery, and personal symbolism. Through exhibitions, writing, workshops, and visual storytelling, Alisa explores transformation, memory, and liminal spaces, inviting others to embrace intuitive art-making as a spiritual practice that fosters meaning, connection, and renewal.

Brighten with Art Winners
Thank you everyone that submitted artwork for Brighton with Art this year there was a lot of great art. Also thank you to Alisa E. Clark for jurying this wonderful online show. All the winners will be invited to show their artwork at the Brighton with Art winners exhibit starting February 16th and running until March 28th.

Photography From Alisa E. Clark - I was drawn immediately to its surreal quality and the way it prompted endless questions. The stark contrasts paired with a vibrant color palette create a powerful visual tension that keeps the viewer engaged and curious.

Ink and colored Pencil From Alisa E. Clark - This piece transported me back to childhood: to the thrill of discovering something unexpected and full of possibility. I would have loved to stumble upon this car and explore it. The crisp colors and beautiful details invite the viewer to step right into the scene and wander.

The CoBACH Center is our display and art space on Main Street in Brighton that the City supports for us. We share the location with the Brighton Area Historical Society and are responsible to the City to keep the building active.
To that end, our part as the Guild is to be responsible to provide CoBACH Greeters for approximately 150 shifts each year. This involves being at CoBACH for a 3 hour shift.
It’s not difficult to do – very easy to learn; and it helps our presence and continued visibility of our Art on Main Street. If each member were to take a shift or two throughout the year that it would easily cover our obligation. CoBACH Greeter Instructions are available on this website
Note that artists exhibiting in Public Places venues are required to sit for one shift for each exhibit entered.
