Volunteers always welcome and needed!
There are many volunteer positions within the Guild and we would love to have you volunteer with us! Please contact Sarah Grusin at 703-635-4135 or sarahgrusin@gmail.com to see how you can help the Guild. You do not have to be an artist to be a member and participate. We welcome members with diverse talents to help with display, publicity, bookkeeping, writing, and gallery sitting. Below is a slide show of just some of the members who volunteered at Kaleidoscope. Whether it's a little or a lot, we welcome your contributions. For a slide show of the Kaleidoscope exhibit, go to the "Now Showing" tab. Currently, here are a few places we could use help:
Speaker Program Coordinators - We would love to have you share the coordinating for our monthly program speakers. We already have a great list of potential speakers, plus artists and friends of the Guild are always adding to the list. You would contact the potential speakers to line them up and then make sure we have the appropriate AV equipment that the library provides on hand and ready for their presentation. Coordinators are also the speaker's key contact person for the presentation. This is a fun job and very easy to do.
Special Events Support - we have a variety of slots for our upcoming events...with the right number of volunteers, no job is too big. Our events can only happen if we have the right number of volunteers and all members are asked to do at least one job/task to assist with events. Besides, it's fun!
Monthly Speaker Meet-up Support - Every month we feature a great program at the Brighton District Library. We need 3-4 extra pairs of hands at 6 p.m. and at 8:30 p.m. to help set up and close down the venue. Again, it's easy! If you can spare an extra 15 minutes at the beginning or close of our meet-ups we sure can use the help. All we do is arrange the tables and chairs for the meeting, then move them back.

GUILD OPPORTUNITIES
The Guild only works as well as the numbers of great volunteers behind the scenes.
Share a few hours or join a committee - be a part of the fun & share in the success!
